StrataDex ("we", "us", "our") operates stratadex.net. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around it. By using StrataDex you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions, email us at stratadex@gmail.com.

1. What We Collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and the username you choose. This is stored securely via Supabase (see Third-Party Services below).

Teams & activity

Saved teams (Pokémon IDs, team name) and community posts you create are stored in our database so you can access them across devices. Deep Dive+ results are cached in your browser's local storage only — they are not stored on our servers.

Usage data

We track basic usage data (page views, feature interactions) to understand how the site is used and improve it. This data is not linked to individual identities unless you are logged in.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Stripe provides us with subscription status only (active / inactive).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the StrataDex service (team builder, Pokédex, Deep Dive+, community)
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure
• To remember your saved teams and preferences
• To enforce usage limits (e.g., the free Deep Dive+ trial allowance and paid-plan monthly caps)
• To show relevant ads to free users via Google AdSense (Pro users see no ads)
• To send transactional emails (password reset, account confirmation) — no marketing emails
• To improve the site based on aggregated usage patterns

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• Authentication cookies — set by Supabase to keep you logged in. Essential; cannot be disabled.
• Ad cookies — set by Google AdSense for free users. Used to serve relevant ads. You can opt out via your Google Ad Settings or a browser extension.
• Local storage — we store your Deep Dive+ cache and team builder state in your browser's local storage. This never leaves your device.

We do not use analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics). If you are in the EU/EEA, a consent banner will appear before any advertising cookies are set.

4. Data Retention

Your account and saved teams are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data (profile, saved teams, community posts) is permanently deleted within 30 days. To delete your account, email stratadex@gmail.com.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)

To exercise any of these rights, email stratadex@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

StrataDex is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of StrataDex after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
