Wash Rotom is the niche Levitate plus Water-type pivot the format keeps coming back to. Levitate immunity to Earthquake makes Garchomp partnerships natural, and the Water STAB threatens the Fire-type sweepers that Garchomp itself struggles into.
Will-O-Wisp on the support spread cripples physical attackers without losing tempo, and Volt Switch keeps offensive momentum on momentum-based teams. The build choice splits between Choice Specs for raw damage (one-shotting most non-resists with Hydro Pump) and Sitrus Berry for defensive cycling. Speed at base 86 is awkward in the format: above Pelipper and Sinistcha, below Garchomp and the Tailwind cluster. Position Wash Rotom to come in after a fast partner has already established speed control, and avoid lead positions where it eats Fake Out without giving Volt Switch back. Knock Off into a defensive Rotom shuts down the Sitrus pivot pattern entirely.
